In case you weren’t already aware, the design of your website has a significant influence on the success of your business. Don’t believe me? Here are some interesting statistics to consider:

  • 75% of users admit to making judgements about a company’s credibility based on their website’s design

  • 85% of B2B customers search the web before making a purchasing decision

  • 94% of a website user’s first impressions are design related

  • 0.05 seconds – the amount of time it takes users to form an opinion about your website

Can you afford to have a less than stellar design with these stats in mind? I’m guessing the answer is no.

The question then becomes what kind of design elements should your site contain. Graphic Designer Brian Johnson weighs in saying, “I think flat and semi-flat design will continue to be a mainstay in graphic and visual design. It’s iconography in its simplest form and the truest sense of easily- digestible language.”

As you can see in the below infographic from Coastal Creative, semi-flat designs is a continuing trend. A new, emerging trend is cinemagraph — which is a combination of a still picture and video. Basically a ridiculously cool GIF. Check out some of the 2015 design trends below.
