You might be seeing more of long vertical scrolling homepages these days. It’s a new design trend that is really starting to take off here, and I’m a big fan of it. I say don’t be afraid of the vertical scroll. There are a few reasons that I am a fan of it, and I think it can work for a variety of different websites. First is that it is built and born out of a mobile website. A lot of mobile webpages and mobile apps make use of the vertical scroll. It is something that I think a lot of web users have adapted to, it’s something that is responsive, and something that is really familiar to us and to users in general. The other reason is that it’s actually pretty easy at that point to make the web version transfer down or respond it down to another website. So it’s something that I think is very adaptable, scalable, and typically is easy to use.
