When designing a website something you always want to keep in mind is white-space and how it’ll affect your site’s usability. Three things usually come to mind. If you want to put emphasis on something whether the headline or button, leave some extra space around it and it will really become a focal point. Second is legibility. Whether its the space between the letters words or even line-height by having the proper white space around there you’ll really allow the user to scan the page. And finally visual groupings. This really just shows the relationship between buttons and copy, headlines and subheads. So just to recap, white space is important for usability for visual groupings, emphasis and legibility.
