I want to talk to you about sales tools pertaining specifically to ecommerce. Nowadays, there is nothing more important when you’re selling things online, than social sharing. What this allows your customers to do is to share products that they view online, as well as sharing things they recently purchased. They also have the ability to review products and services, and share that with their social networks, as well.

One of the other important things you ca do when you’re selling online is using the power of the up-sell. Up-sells are giving your customer additional options and things they can add to their cart once they’ve already started the checkout process. What this is designed to do is cut down the options you’re offering upfront, and instead offer a few base models. Once people have things in their shopping cart, you can start offering things for them to add to their order.

When using add-ons and up-sells in your ecommerce platform, you’ll increase sales dramatically, because one of the most difficult things to do when you’re selling things online is to products into the shopping cart. Once they’re in there and they’re on their way through the checkout process, adding a few up-sells in there is definitely going to help increase conversions and get more revenue for your business.
