Today Matt shares three things you want to avoid with your social media marketing.
Having A One Sided Relationship
If you get a response from a follower make sure you respond to them in a timely fashion. One thing that turns followers off is a brand that ignores its fans.
Keeping Personal & Business Accounts Together
One of the biggest mistakes that can be made is mixing up a personal account with a business account. A great example of this is the mistake a KitchenAid employee made. During a debate the employee mistakenly posted an offensive tweet poking fun at President Obama’s Grandmother from the KitchenAid handle instead their personal handle. This led to a PR nightmare.
Remove a Post
Not every post will get your audiences praises, but just because a few people might not be a fan doesn’t mean remove the post. By removing the post, you might end up doing more damage than by standing behind it and moving on.
