Today, Nina talks about some things you can do with your website to help increase your conversion.
There are a lot of things you can do to help boost your conversion rate, but for now let’s look at some main things to consider when looking at your site.
The first thing you want to do is make sure your website site is as easy as possible for visitors to access. Part of that is making sure it’s accessible on every kind of device. Your website should not only look good but also work properly whether it’s being viewed on a smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. The other part of it is making sure that your website is compatible on every browser. Everyone has their favorite, whether it’s Explorer, Chrome, Firefox, or Safari you have to make sure it not only looks good, but once again, works properly.
The next thing you want to think about is usability, meaning you want your site to be as easy to use as possible. You have to make sure that you have clear, concise, and usable information that is easy for users to find. There’s nothing worse than having to dig through a website to find the information that you’re looking for.
Next, you should think about being very open and honest with the information on your site. For example, if a certain item is out of stock, make sure to tell people that upfront. The same goes for pricing. Visitors should know upfront how much they are going to be expected to pay and what they are getting for their money.
Finally, you don’t want to waste your visitor’s time by asking too much from them. If you have an order form or a contact form for your visitors to fill out, make sure you are only asking for the pertinent information. When visitors are confronted with long tedious forms, they are more likely to abandon the page without purchasing or filling out the information.
The next time you think your conversion rate could use a little boost, take a look at your website and see if some of these things can be implemented.
